He’s a talking head…
He ain’t no coach….
The Yankees are still looking for a new manager and the Sports Pope believes he’s qualified.
On his Monday show, WFAN host Mike Francesa said he feels he has what it takes to be the manager of the Yankees after being asked if he’d ever take the job if offered.
“Do I think I can manage the Yankees? Sure, but I’m not gonna get a chance to manage the Yankees,” Francesa said to a caller in audio captured by Twitter user Funhouse.
The caller tried to make the argument that if Donald Trump can be President, Francesa can be the Yankees manager.
“I definitely could, but the point is they’re not going to hire me to do that because they’re going to hire someone who either spent 20 years playing the game or spent that time as a coach or a manager and I understand that,” Francesa said. “Just like they’re not gonna give someone my radio show who doesn’t have any experience at least behind a microphone.”…
