Senate Democrats warn Sec of State Tillerson to stop straving his Department….

Tillerson is reported to have cut the US State Dept by 1/3 of it’s budget and refused to staff hundred’s portions in the agency….

Senate Democrats are demanding that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson lift a hiring freeze, nominate more candidates for vacant diplomatic slots and share much more detail with Congress about his plan to restructure the State Department.

If Tillerson doesn’t step up his cooperation with Capitol Hill, the lawmakers warn, they’ll use legislation to force him.

The demands were conveyed in a stern and lengthy letter to Tillerson dated Wednesday and signed by all 10 Democrats on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, including ranking member Ben Cardin of Maryland.

The letter, shared first with POLITICO, is the latest sign of growing concern in Congress about the future of U.S. diplomacy under President Donald Trump. The missive also illustrates the growing unhappiness with Tillerson in Congress, where even some Republicans have questioned the merits of his plans for the State Department.

In the letter, the Democrats nod to reports of sinking morale in the State Department, where many top officials have quit and others have felt sidelined in the policy-making process since Tillerson took over in February.

“The department’s redesign, spending, and personnel moves are taking place largely behind closed doors and without the level of transparency we would expect,” the senators write. “Moreover, proposals that have come to light lead us to question whether the intended result is in fact a more efficient department that continues to serve the interests of the American people and promote our foreign policy objectives abroad.”….

The complaints about this non-action have NOT just been by Democratic Senators…..

Add Tillerson to the Trump people that trying to walk back Trump’s ‘No Sign’ the Paris Accords..

First it was UN Amb Nikki Haley. saying even though Trump is NOT going along with the the rest of the world’s program on climate change….America will stick with things……

President Donald Trump does believe in climate change and that humans have a role in it, US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley told CNN’s Jake Tapper in an interview on “State of the Union.”

“President Trump believes the climate is changing and he believes pollutants are part of the equation,” Haley said Saturday, answering a central question in the wake of his decision to withdraw the country from the Paris climate accord.
Trump “knows that it’s changing and that the US has to be responsible for it and that’s what we’re going to do,” she continued, adding that withdrawing from the Paris agreement won’t change the country’s commitment to curbing climate change.
“Just because the US got out of a club doesn’t mean we aren’t going to care about the environment,” she said…..

Now it’s Sec of State Tillerson that is saying American WILL  NOT back away from dealing with Climate Change…

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, in his first public comments since Donald Trump announced his intention to withdraw from the Paris climate agreement, declined to specifically endorse the move but said the U.S. would continue working to reduce its emissions regardless.

“Well, it was a policy decision, and I think it’s important that everyone recognize the United States has a terrific record on reducing our own greenhouse gas emissions. It’s something I think we can be proud of and that was done in the absence of a Paris agreement,” Tillerson told reporters Friday when asked for his reaction to Trump’s announcement….

American Sec of State affirms America’s sanctions against Russia for Ukraine /Crimea actions…

I guess they finally got ole Donald to understand that his wanting to take care of the Russians isn’t what America should be doing….

At least NOT while the FBI is sniffing around a LOT of Trump’s friend’s and staff members contacts with Putin sponsored Russian’s….

Putin isn’t gonna give the Crimea back to the Ukraine so Trump’s upholding of the Obama leveled sanctions is NOT gonna make Putin happy and his best friend…..

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said Friday that US sanctions against Russia will remain in place until Moscow “reverses the actions” it has taken in Ukraine.

The comments are notable given President Donald Trump’s at-times reluctance to criticize Russia over its actions in Crimea, though he did declare last month that the territory was “taken” by Russia. As a candidate, Trump hinted he might recognize Russia’s annexation of Crimea, and sources have previously told CNN that Ukraine-related sanctions were on the table for review as part of Trump’s interest in pursuing warmer ties with Moscow.
“American and NATO support for Ukraine remains steadfast. As we have repeated at every ministerial and summit since Russia launched its campaign of aggression against Ukraine, NATO allies stand firm in our support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Tillerson said at a NATO meeting at the organization’s headquarters in Brussels. “We do not, and will not, accept Russian efforts to change the borders of territory of Ukraine.”
He added, “We will continue to hold Russia accountable to its Minsk commitments. The United States sanctions will remain until Moscow reverses the actions that triggered our sanctions.”
At his confirmation hearings in January, Tillerson called Russia’s claims on Crimea “illegitimate.” And US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley also said last month that US sanctions would remain in place against Russian until it withdraws from Crimea….

Trump signs off on No Enter Ban 2.0….

Donald Trump’s tries again….

This time with inside the Admin  consultations….

Trump did NOT present this ….

He had his cabinet members  Tillerson, Kelly and Sessions do it….

President Trump signed a new travel ban Monday that administration officials said they hope will end legal challenges over the matter by imposing a 90-day ban on the issuance of new visas for citizens of six majority-Muslim nations, authorities said.

In addition, the nation’s refugee program will be suspended for 120 days, and it will not accept more than 50,000 refugees in a year, down from the 110,000 cap set by the Obama administration.

Trump signed the new ban out of public view, according to White House officials. The order will not take effect until March 16, officials said.

The new guidelines name six of the seven countries included in the first executive order but leave out Iraq. That nation will increase cooperation with the United States on additional security vetting under separate negotiations and its citizens are not subject to the new order, according to a fact sheet provided by the administration.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions outlined President Trump’s new travel ban, calling it ‘lawful,’ during a news conference on March 6 at the Department of Homeland Security. (The Washington Post)
A Department of Homeland official, speaking on the condition of anonymity on a call with reporters, said Iraq was “treated differently” in part because the country had agreed to “timely repatriation” of their citizens if they were ordered deported from the United States.

The new order provides other exceptions not contained explicitly in previous versions: for travelers from those countries who are legal permanent residents of the United States, dual nationals who use a passport from another country and those who have been granted asylum or refugee status. Anyone who holds a visa now should be able to get into the country without any problems, though those whose visas expire will have to reapply, officials said.

Officials also attempted to lay out a more robust national security justification for the order, claiming that it was needed because 300 people who entered the country as refugees were the subject of counterterrorism investigations….

Trump send’s his Sec of State and Homeland to Mexico…

The Mexican President cancelled his trip to Washington after Trump dissed him by talking about the wall before his scheduled visit….

The two Trump cabinet secretaries have been sent on a delicate mission one would assume….

Donald Trump is NOT gonna stop talking about putting up a wall on the Mexican border….

In  Mexico  the focus is against Trump, NOT America which is the countries largest trade  market….(Mexico’s economy is slowing now though…)

Mexicans want their politician’s to push back hard against Trump with the fact that EVERYDAY the US economy benefits from its trade , people and labor….

Mexico has help President Obama by stopping Central and South American’s from getting to its borders….That could stop also….

The countries ARE intertwined …..

So while Mexican authorities have tried to not respond strongly to Trump’s slights….

Trump’s continual putdowns and anti-Mexican rants about walls and whose gonna pay for it IS gonna be something that Tillerson  and Kelly ARE gonna have deal with……

I wouldn’t want to be them two guys….

While outraged with Trump, many Mexicans have been equally upset at what they see as an anemic response from Mexico City to a U.S. administration that has threatened to erect a border wall, step up deportations and impose a big tax on goods imported from Mexico, among other actions.

Mexican officials have generally responded to the provocative words from the north with a relatively conciliatory approach, though President Enrique Peña Nieto canceled a planned visit to Washington last month amid a simmering dispute about Trump’s insistence that Mexico pay for a massive wall he hopes to build along the border.

That public display of pique won the embattled Mexican president a small uptick in otherwise historically low approval ratings as he nears the last year of his six-year term.

But many here still view the government’s response to the broadsides from Washington as feeble and dispirited. They want Mexico to fight back.

“We need a president who stands up to Trump and his policies,” said Antonio Aguilera, a businessman who was one of more than 20,000 people who marched in a largely anti-Trump demonstration in the capital this month. “We do not need to put up with this constant indignity.”

In a column in Reforma newspaper labeled “Wake Up,” columnist Carmen Aristegui argued that Mexico should signal to the visiting U.S. Cabinet secretaries that scrapping the “undignified and absurd” border wall plan is a precondition for any negotiations.

The talks this week are expected to encompass a wide scope of issues, including border security, trade, law enforcement and immigration….
