Trump tweets about going after Hillary Clinton aide Abedin…

The woman has her estranged husband in jail for sexing a minor….

Her boss won the vote, but lost the election for President…

Now Donald Trump has noting better to do then to suggest she be charged in somethiung she has been cleared of?

Oh, and Trump suggests that his Atty Gen go after the FBI Dir he fired which has led to HIM be investigated ?

Trump’s tweet about Abedin came not long after “Fox and Friends” promoted a reportfrom the conservative news website the Daily Caller on Abedin’s email use. The report noted that Abedin forwarded State Department passwords to her personal Yahoo email account.

The President used the report on Abedin’s email use to suggest that there are members of the “Deep State” in the Justice Department working to protect allies of Hillary Clinton and hurt the Trump administration. Trump demanded that the Justice Department “act on” former FBI Director James Comey, though he did not specify Comey’s alleged wrongdoing….

Hillary Clinton’s Admin will have a lot of familiar faces….

The NY Times does a rundown of the people you can expect in Hillary Clinton’s White House ….

Don’t expect many new faces….

Clinton will be no different then others before her moving into the White House….

In the final sprint of her campaign, troubled by an F.B.I. inquiry and narrowing polls, Hillary Clinton has held tightly to a handful of advisers who have spent their careers protecting her interests, defending her reputation, and at times sullying it — and their own.

And if she wins on Tuesday, the most telling test of Mrs. Clinton’s transition back to power will arrive quickly: After a campaign season often defined by voters’ weariness with and distrust of her, which old hands will — or should — follow her into the Oval Office?

Almost no top adviser has been left untouched by the two central firestorms of Mrs. Clinton’s candidacy: the inquiry into her use of a private email server as secretary of state and the WikiLeaks hack of the email account of John D. Podesta, her campaign chairman.

The unvarnished view of infighting in the stolen documents is unlikely to bother Mrs. Clinton much, friends say. The political wisdom of importing excess baggage to the executive branch is another matter.

Huma Abedin, one of Mrs. Clinton’s most trusted advisers, in August. She has become entangled in an F.B.I. investigation of her estranged husband, Anthony D. Weiner,  and his lewd messages.

Jake Sullivan, Mrs. Clinton’s campaign policy director, has faced questions over whether he mishandled classified information in the course of his round-the-clock email traffic with Mrs. Clinton at the State Department, an issue that could shadow him as he moves into what is expected to be a key White House role, perhaps national security adviser or chief of staff.

Mr. Podesta, who has been with the Clintons since the 1990s and is a candidate for a cabinet post, has been singed by the publication of his private correspondence. So has Neera Tanden, a former domestic policy adviser to Mrs. Clinton, who took an acid pen to some of Mrs. Clinton’s closest aides in emails to Mr. Podesta, her friend.

Mrs. Clinton has plenty of other choices who have been unscathed by the email affairs, including Michèle A. Flournoy, a front-runner for defense secretary, and William J. Burns, who is on a short list for secretary of state.

But allies have long viewed Mrs. Clinton’s dependence on a small handful of aides with deep concern, lamenting the decades-old reluctance of her and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, to eject anyone from their political lives for good…

Political Roundup For Tuesday, August 23, 2016…Trump Sick?…RRH Elections

Presidential News:

Clinton/Trump: On Monday, Trump did a fair job hitting Hillary on her email scandal, using the FBI’s discovery of 15,000 new emails that were never produced and the fact that Colin Powell won’t take a bullet for Clinton against her.

Judicial Watch: Conservative organization Judicial Watch released a treasure trove of over 700 emails yesterday, many of which show cozy relationships between Hillary Clinton during her tenure as Secretary of State and Clinton Foundation donors. Busted!

Huma: It also appears that Clinton aide Huma Abedin left classified materials in the front seat of her vehicle in India. Whoops!

Trump sick?: Trump has cancelled events in Colorado, Nevada, and … Oregon for this week. It’s a little strange, the speculation is that Trump must be sick. Hopefully his health is ok.

Johnson: Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson isn’t much of a libertarian. He’s now endorsed a carbon tax as a means of stopping carbon emissions and tackling global warming. While there is disagreement as to whether taxes are a legitimate part of a libertarian utopia, there aren’t many who suggest that new taxes are a good way of paternalistically changing social and commercial behavior. Frankly, Johnson is just a moderate, not a libertarian.

McMullin: Surprisingly, independent candidate Evan McMullin failed to turn in the required 275 signatures necessary to get onto the Tennessee ballot. This seems like a low threshold to miss…..

Clinton aide Huma Abedin’s lawyer pushes back on attacks…

The lawyer for the longtime Clinton aide gets out Abedin’s side of the email story….

He points to the fact that Abedin had clearance for her status working and outside job, and had clearance for extra pay….

As with the Clinton emails…..

It seems that the media story has little to do with the facts on the ground when it comes to ANYTHING Clinton….

A lawyer for Huma Abedin, a top adviser to Hillary Rodham Clinton, has accused Charles E. Grassley, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, of damaging Ms. Abedin’s reputation through “unfounded allegations” about her time at the State Department.

The lawyer, Miguel Rodriguez, sent a letter to the State Department on Friday responding forcefully to two sets of questions posed by Mr. Grassley, Republican of Iowa: whether Ms. Abedin, while a department official, had been overpaid during her maternity leave and a vacation, and whether she had demonstrated a conflict of interest by aiding one of her part-time employers through her work at the State Department.

Ms. Abedin was granted permission by the State Department to work as a “special government employee” while also performing work for certain outside clients. Mr. Grassley has focused recently on her consulting work in 2012 for the firm Teneo, which was founded by Douglas J. Band, a longtime adviser to former President Bill Clinton.

Mr. Grassley has suggested that emails existed showing that Mr. Band had asked Ms. Abedin to press Mrs. Clinton to seek a White House appointment for Judith Rodin, the head of the Rockefeller Foundation, a Teneo client. Ms. Rodin is a longtime friend of the Clintons.

But Mr. Rodriguez, in his letter on Friday, cited a Washington Post article pointing out that Ms. Rodin, a longtime friend of Mr. Clinton’s, received that White House appointment in 2010, before the Rockefeller Foundation had retained Teneo “and before Teneo hired Abedin.”

Mr. Grassley has also recently disclosed that the State Department’s inspector general had found that Ms. Abedin received nearly $10,000 in excess pay during her maternity leave. But Mr. Rodriguez wrote that Ms. Abedin was contesting that finding because she “extensively worked” during those periods, as the inspector general’s “report itself found.”

Hillary Clinton Update…A short history on how she came to run this time…

Politico is out with a piece this morning on how and when Hillary Clinton came to decide to run for President a second time….

In it they show how most of us KNEW she was running way earlier than the media let on and point something this Dog has brought up….

That she really does not like running for office, but will have to do her best in the next 16 months if she wants to BE President…..

It will be unfortunate that she will probabaly not be primaried hard, something she could probably use….But then the media and Repoublicans will be out to do a preview of next fall’s fight for the Presidency now, eh?

Clinton is dead-set on avoiding the mistakes of ‘08, and approved a series of secret reports studying the 2008 campaign in minute detail, friends and advisers say. But for all her calculation, she’s been surprisingly noncommittal and reluctant to leave her comfortable double-mansion life for the grinding, grubby, lacerating realities of another campaign, fully exposed to the media horde she fears, loathes and fights.

Her ambivalence made for a rocky pre-campaign — a methodical but often scattershot two-year slog that included a lackluster book tour, a triumphant return to the stage as a surrogate during the 2014 midterms and a painfully slow-footed response to the State Department email server scandal.

For all the talk about how different things will be this time around, Clinton’s slow-walk to 2016 hearkens back to the overly-cautious frontrunner’s approach that helped sink her campaign in 2008. Unlike her husband, Clinton isn’t a political natural — she’s an unconventional candidate who performed best when she was losing, and the lack of an obvious primary opponent means she’ll have fewer opportunities to battle-test her new approach.

Clinton was undecided about embarking on another run as recently as December — “She was at 95.5 percent” in favor of running “but not all the way,” said a Clinton insider — and she was worried about an Obama-like challenge from the left by Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, according to people who spoke with her at the time. And she seems to have genuinely questioned her desire to seek the office a second time, or at least put her ambitions on hold for four years. In the aftermath of the 2008 campaign, before she accepted Obama’s offer to become secretary of state, Clinton was genuinely burned out and told friends she thought her electoral career was behind her. But as her approval ratings spiked during the controversy-free first years at Foggy Bottom, she started reconsidering…..

Bill Clinton on Anthony Weiner…Distance….

The ex-President makes sure the media gets the message……

“Neither Hillary or I was ever involved in the political campaign, and they understood that from the beginning,” Clinton said. “There are too many people running for mayor who have been my supporters, who supported her for senator, her for president.”

The Weiner story has has played itself long enough….

Let’s face it….

Weiner defiant despite rift with Clintons

Hillary Clinton Watch….. Back in NYC out having fun….

The Secertary of State was back in New York last night…..

She along with her long time aide Huma Abedin (Weiner) attended the Time 100 Gala….

Here’s the story…..

And ex-First Lady actually looks glambed up, eh?

Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin asked for a meeting with Spanx creator Sara Blakely after the secretary of state spoke at the Time 100 Gala.

Tuesday’s event to celebrate Time Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People in the World” issue was packed with moguls, leaders and newsmakers including Jeremy LinTimothy Cardinal Dolan, Twitter’s Jack DorseyHarvey Weinstein, and Rihanna — but it was Blakely whom Abedin, wife of Anthony Weiner, most wanted to meet before she and Clinton left the Time Warner Center,

An event organizer was dispatched to Blakely’s table to ask her to come over, and the Spanx sensation was soon seen in deep conversation with Clinton.

Anthony Weiner celebrates his wedding Anniversary in Miami with his wife…..

Weiner and wife toast their wedding

The guys wife still loves him ….

And will keep him….

I wish the couple the best……

But she’ll need to keep an eye on his e-mail…

We’ll see what happen’s if she goes back to her State Dept job and the traveling….

As for him…..

Who know’s?

The NYC Mayor’s race is how far off?

Anthony Weiner escaped to Miami for a romantic weekend with wife Huma to celebrate their wedding anniversary. Witnesses told us that the couple, who married a year ago on Long Island, looked very much in love as they dined with friends at Miami’s celebrity hot spot Prime 112 steakhouse on Saturday night. The couple sat in the private wine room with the curtains partially closed.

Anthony and Huma, apparently untroubled by his recent scandal, were seen being very affectionate at the table and laughing as they dined with another couple. Huma had a noticeable baby bump while wearing loose-fitting clothes.

The Politics of the upcoming Special Election for Weiner’s seat….And a Counter from Daily Kos…

As I wrote here at the Dog…

All that bullshit about a possible GOPer winning this the NY 9th CD …

Is Bullshit….

This a solid Democratic  district….

Governor Cuomo will call the special…

The Queens County Democratic Rep Crowley leader also has control of the primary….if there is any (probably not)  for the seat…..

Rememeber Weiner polled above 50% up until today…..

So look for someone that Crowley is comfortable with…

And that will keep the seat safely in Democratic hands….

Andrew Cuomo isn’t David Paterson…..

He’s running for President I think in 2016….

He’ll play nice and seek a Special Election …..

Not leave the seat vacant for a long time….

With the 2011 general election more than 16 months away, Cuomo isn’t likely to follow Paterson’s lead. A more probable scenario would mirror Cuomo’s decision after the abrupt resignation of Rep. Chris Lee (R) earlier this year in New York’s 26th district.

In that case, Cuomo waited a month to formally declare the seat vacant and scheduled the election for 10 weeks later.

Regardless of its timing, Democrats are expected to maintain their hold on Weiner’s seat, which includes parts of Queens and Brooklyn.

Crowley, who has his own redistricting ambitions very much on his mind, could play kingmaker in the process of selecting a party nominee.

Local Democrats report that Crowley, whose district borders Weiner’s, hopes to claim a piece of the departing Congressman’s district, which includes white Catholic voters. That means he’s unlikely to select an ambitious Weiner successor who would fight to maintain the current district boundaries, according to Democrats familiar with Crowley’s thinking.

Three Democrats are dominating the discussion of potential successors.

City Councilman Mark Weprin is chairman of an influential subcommittee that he might be reluctant to give up. Former City Councilman Eric Gioia, considered young and ambitious, has been known to clash with Crowley. And former City Councilwoman Melinda Katz, who narrowly lost to Weiner in the 1998 Democratic primary when the 9th district was last an open seat, is considered closer to Crowley but ambitious, as well…….More.

Ok….Here’s a sorta counter to my call of strong Democratic win in the Special from Daily Kos.…And there’s mention in the comments of ….Well…Weiner’s wife Huma Abedin or Yes…Reshma Saujani….. Who lost to Carolyn Maloney up in the Manhattan/Sunnyside House run…..

Huma Abedin is pregnant…..

Anthony Weiner’s wife we now know is pregnant….

This story won’t quit!

We are now getting more stuff rolling out by the hour….

The man has done himself no favors by digging this deeper and deeper…

I really do feel  bad for his wife….

She didn’t see this coming…

Huma Abedin expecting with husband embroiled in 'sexting' scandal

Rep. Anthony Weiner’s wife is expecting a baby, according to a bombshell new report, just as the couple is working on trying to mend its relationship in the wake of a sexting scandal.

Huma Abedin, 35, is in the early stages of her pregnancy. She’s two weeks shy of her first trimester, a source said.

The couple, who married last July, has told relatives and close friends about the pregnancy.

The revelation comes just three days after Weiner, 46, admitted that he had spent the past three years exchanging steamy online messages and sex-fueled phone chats with six women — sending some of his most tawdry sexts after marrying his high-powered wife last year……
