Why other countries and our spys worry about the American President ….

Vanity Fair give’s the reason….

Donald J. Trump….

The President of the Unted States IS a security risk…

The piece linked below goes into why and nother foreign country passed on information to America’s Intelligence community…That information was reported to the American President….The American President then went on and passed the informationon to the Russians…He did so at a meeting CLOSED to American media , but open to Russian media….

The reaction in the country that obtained the information was astonishment…That country now must make sure (and American Spys agencies) that information reported to the American President is sanitized….

The source for the information?

The other country doesn’t say…..

So there is the new president, shaky as any bounder might be in the complicated world of international politics, sitting down to a head-to-head with a pair of experienced Russians. How can he impress them? Get them to appreciate that he’s not some lightweight, but rather a genuine player on the world stage?

There’s also the school of thought that the episode is another unfortunate example of Trump’s impressionable worldview being routinely shaped by the last thing he’s heard, be it that morning’s broadcast of Fox & Friends or an intelligence briefing in the Oval Office. As advocates of this theory point out, the president was likely told that one of the issues still on his guests’ minds would be the terrorist explosion back in October 2015 that brought down a Russian passenger plane flying above Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, killing all 224 people on board. With that seed planted in the president’s undisciplined mind, it’s a short leap for him to be off and running to the Russians about what he knew about an ISIS scheme to target passenger aircraft.

Yet there is also a more sinister way to connect all the dots. There are some petulant voices in official Washington who insist that the president’s treachery was deliberate, part of his longtime collaboration with the Russians. It is a true believer’s orthodoxy, one which predicts that the meeting will wind up being one more damning count in an indictment that Robert Mueller, the special counsel, will ultimately nail to the White House door.

But, for now, to bolster their still very circumstantial case, they point to a curiosity surrounding the meeting in the Oval Office—U.S. journalists were kept out. And, no less an oddity, the Russian press was allowed in. It was the photographer from TASS, the state-run Russian news agency, who snapped the only shots that documented the occasion for posterity. Or, for that matter, for the grand jury.

But ultimately it is the actions of men, not their motives, that propel history forward. And the president’s reckless disclosure continues to wreak havoc….

Trump crying about Congress cutting him from dancing with the Russians….

President Trump on Thursday blamed Congress for the current “very dangerous” relationship with Russia.

“Our relationship with Russia is at an all-time & very dangerous low,” Trump tweeted one day after signing into law a bill overwhelmingly approved by Congress that imposes new sanctions on Russia and curbs the president’s authority to lift them.

Trump also took a shot at the inability of the Senate to pass an ObamaCare repeal law.

“You can thank Congress, the same people that can’t even give us [healthcare]!” he wrote…..

Trump also told [Australian PM] Turnbull that his conversation with the Russian leader was far more enjoyable.

“Putin was a pleasant call,” Trump said. “This is ridiculous.”

The combative nature of Trump and Turnbull’s conversation was previously known, but the Post’s report shed new light on the details of the talks.

Australia is one of the United States’ closest allies and intelligence-sharing partners, while Russia is a major American adversary. But Trump has long sought to build warmer ties with Moscow and Putin….

President Trump lashed out at Congress while signing legislation on Wednesday that imposes new sanctions on Russia, arguing the bill limited his executive power and ability to negotiate with Moscow.

“By limiting the executive’s flexibility, this bill makes it harder for the United States to strike good deals for the American people, and will drive China, Russia, and North Korea much closer together,” Trump said in a sharply-worded statement.

The bill approved by Congress with overwhelming, veto-proof majorities limits the president’s ability to lift sanctions on Russia or return diplomatic compounds seized by the Obama administration in retaliation for Russian election meddling….

Such is American politics these days…

In any other era, our political leaders would be aghast at the rank opportunism, moral flippancy and borderline treasonous instincts on display.

Instead, we get this from the president of the United States, explaining away his son’s encounter with Russian operatives who were advertised as working on behalf of the Kremlin: “Most politicians would have gone to a meeting like the one Don jr attended in order to get info on an opponent. That’s politics!” And from elected Republicans, we get mostly silence—or embarrassing excuses.

Never mind that Trump Jr. initially said the meeting was about adoption, not a Russian offer of “ultra sensitive” dirt on Hillary Clinton. We’ve gone from the Trump team saying they never even met with Russians to the president himself now essentially saying: So what if we did?

None of this should surprise anyone who paid attention during last year’s campaign…..

Trump Admin to undo Obama sanctions on Russian compounds in NY and Maryland…

President Obama closed Russian compounds on Long Island, NY and Maryland’s Eastern Shore due to his unhappiness with the Russian’s meddling in the past Presidential Elections….

In response?

The Russians have been harassing American diplomats in Moscow….It appears that the Trump Admin has notified that they will allow the Russian’s to reoccupy the two compounds if they allow the US to move ahead with construction of a diplomatic building in St.Petersburg…(The Russians have been harassing American diplomats in Moscow also….)

There are gonna be some American lawmakers and others NOT happy with this….

President Barack Obama said Dec. 29 that the compounds were being “used by Russian personnel for intelligence-related purposes” and gave Russia 24 hours to vacate them. Separately, Obama expelled from the United States what he said were 35 Russian “intelligence operatives.”

Early last month, the Trump administration told the Russians that it would consider turning the properties back over to them if Moscow would lift its freeze, imposed in 2014 in retaliation for U.S. sanctions related to Ukraine, on construction of a new U.S. consulate on a certain parcel of land in St. Petersburg.

Two days later, the U.S. position changed. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson told Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak at a meeting in Washington that the United States had dropped any linkage between the compounds and the consulate, according to several people with knowledge of the exchanges.

Trump asked intel chiefs to knock FBI’s Russia probe: report

Didn’t Donald Trump say he didn’t ‘trust’ his intelligence community which has leaked extensively against his efforts to get tight with the Russians?

So he asked Comey in February to get Mike Flynn off the hook….

Now we have a leak that points to Trump going to his DNI and NSA heads to say his campaign had no part in extensive talks with the Russians during his campaign?

WTF was the man thinking???

Staff and BOTH agencies have ALREADY provided PROOF to the FBI and Congress of just the opposite…That members of his immediate staff WHERE in contact with various Russians….

This continues to point to a man desperate to stop the dogs hunting around him for MORE proof that he and others have worked extensively to communicate with Russian interests during the campaign….

President Trump reportedly asked two top intelligence officials in March to publicly deny the existence of any evidence of collusion between his campaign and Russia, the Washington Post reported Monday.

Trump reportedly asked Dan Coats, the director of national intelligence, and Adm. Michael Rogers, director of the National Security Agency, to make public statements that there were no ties between Russian officials and the Trump campaign. Both officials refused to do so because they thought the requests were inappropriate, according to the report.

Senior White House officials also reportedly asked how they could directly intervene with former FBI Director James Comey’s investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

“Can we ask him to shut down the investigation? Are you able to assist in this matter?” one official reportedly asked.
The NSA and a spokesman for Coats declined to comment to the Post, citing the current investigation….

Putin offers to provide the Russian version of White House Trump Meeting….

The Russian President offering to the US Congress  (Investigating its President’s Admin) THEIR copy of a  meeting in the American President’;s office that ONLY his people attended…

Could anybody have foreseen such a strange occurrence a year ago?

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Wednesday he would be willing to provide the U.S. Congress a record of President Trump’s meeting with top Russian envoys, possibly offering new details on the disclosures of reportedly highly classified intelligence information.

The remarkable offer for the Kremlin to share evidence with U.S. oversight committees came with the caveat that the request for the transcript would have to come from the Trump administration.

The Kremlin has denied reports that Trump shared classified secrets last week with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Russia’s ambassador to the United States during an Oval Office meeting. But the full extent of Trump’s comments to the Russian envoys has not been made public.

As reported first by The Washington Post, Trump in a meeting with Lavrov and Russian Ambassador Sergei Kislyak shared classified information about an Islamic State plot to smuggle a bomb disguised as a laptop aboard a passenger plane. Subsequent reports have suggested the intelligence was provided by the Israeli government, and was so sensitive that it was not shared even with the United States’ closest allies….

Attorney General Jeff Sessions, facing a chorus of criticism over his contacts with the Russian ambassador, recused himself Thursday from any current or future investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election. His conversations with the ambassador, Sergey I. Kislyak, came amid suspected Russian hacking directed at Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

Mr. Sessions said he made the decision after meeting with senior career officials at the Justice Department. He said he would not take part in any investigations “related in any way to the campaigns for president of the United States.”

Mr. Sessions said “I don’t recall” whether Mr. Trump or the presidential election, which was then two months away, came up in the discussion with the ambassador.

The remarks by Mr. Sessions came not long after President Trump on Thursday expressed his support for Mr. Sessions and said he should not recuse himself from the investigation. Mr. Sessions was a key adviser and surrogate for Mr. Trump’s campaign.

Touring the U.S.S. Gerald R. Ford, the newest American aircraft carrier, in Newport News, Va., Mr. Trump said that he “wasn’t aware” that Mr. Sessions had spoken to the ambassador, but that he believed the attorney general had testified truthfully to the Senate during his confirmation hearing.

“I think he probably did,” Mr. Trump told reporters.

Asked whether Mr. Sessions should recuse himself in the Russia investigations, the president said, “I don’t think so.”…..

Lowr level Republican Congressmen have begun to move for a ‘bipartisan’ Congressional investigation of the Trump/Russian contacts…..

They have been talking about leaks….

It seems that the Intelligence  community is the ONLY people  that have the balls to STAND UP AN DELIEVER against what seems to be underhandedness in the top of the American Government….

By the Way?

Now that we KNOW that President Obama KNEW about the Russian/Trump contact’s WTF didn’t HE do something ?

Did he think so strongly that Hillary Clinton would win that he didn’t thinik he had to speak up?

NOT A GOOD LOOK in hindsight….

In a series of tweets Wednesday morning, President Donald Trump blasted reporting on his campaign’s ties with Russian intelligence officials as “conspiracy theories and blind hatred.”

“The fake news media is going crazy with their conspiracy theories and blind hatred. @MSNBC & @CNN are unwatchable. @foxandfriends is great!” Trump tweeted.

Both MSNBC and CNN led Wednesday morning shows with a New York Times report published Tuesday night that said members of Trump’s campaign had multiple communications with senior Russian intelligence officials before the US election, as CNN White House video producer Elizabeth Landers observed.

Landers also said Fox News had not reported on the Times article Wednesday morning.

In a follow-up tweet, Trump dismissed the “Russian connection non-sense” as a media attempt to cover up the mistakes in his presidential rival Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
“This Russian connection non-sense is merely an attempt to cover-up the many mistakes made in Hillary Clinton’s losing campaign,” Trump tweeted….

A number of Republicans from both chambers displayed skepticism about the need for a deeper investigation of the Trump administration’s actions on Russia — a stunning reversal for a party that for decades has preached a hawkish approach to dealing with Russia.

But other Republicans joined the call for an investigation into Flynn.

Senator John Cornyn of Texas, the second-ranking Republican, said the standing committees with intelligence oversight should launch an investigation, but he demurred when asked if Flynn should testify before Congress. “I think it’s symbolic of somebody with a distinguished military career making a bad mistake,” he told CNN.

Senator Roy Blunt of Missouri, a Republican member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said the latest revelations about Flynn should be added to the existing investigation into Russia. Both chambers of Congress launched probes last month into Russia’s role in the hacking during the 2016 election…..

The view on the Trump ‘dossier’case from across the pond…

Britain dragged into Donald Trump ‘dirty dossier’ row amid claims Whitehall knew of the file

Gordon Rayner, chief reporter Claire Newell Ruth Sherlock @ The Telegraph
13 JANUARY 2017

Britain has been dragged into the frantic row over the “dirty dossier” on Donald Trump after it was claimed that the Government gave the FBI permission to speak to the former MI6 officer who compiled it.

Sources in the US have told The Telegraph that Christopher Steele, a former spy, spoke to officials in London before he handed the document to the FBI and met one of its agents.

The document, which contained allegations of lurid sexual behaviour by Mr Trump in Russian hotels, was leaked earlier this week, and Britain now finds itself caught in the crossfire of accusations between Russia and the US….

Backgrounder…Donald J. Trump HAS BEEN doing ‘Deals’ with Russia for decades….

THAT was a businessman…

He is NOW gonna the President of the United States of America…

The COUNTRY SHOULD come FIRST….

I do NOT think Trump can separate who he IS from who he is supposed to BE…

THIS POINTS TO A CONFLICT OF INTEREST WITH AMERICAN FOREIGN AFFAIRS FOR A PRESIDENT’S PERSONAL INTEREST….

Not ILLEGAL….

But it SHOULD mean a person NOT having the job as President….

Everyone is worried about the Office of the Presidency….

They should be worried about someone so hell bent on makimng themselves Richer…..

The president-elect’s favorable comments about President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia and the conclusion of United States intelligence officials that Moscow acted to help Mr. Trump’s campaign have focused attention on Mr. Trump’s business interests in Russia. Asked about the issue at his news conference last week, Mr. Trump was emphatic on one point: “I have no dealings with Russia.” And he repeated: “I have no deals that could happen in Russia because we’ve stayed away.”

The project on the old pencil factory site ultimately fizzled. And by the time Mr. Trump entered the presidential race, he had failed to get any real estate development off the ground in Russia. But it was not for lack of trying.

Mr. Trump repeatedly sought business in Russia as far back as 1987, when he traveled there to explore building a hotel. He applied for his trademark in the country as early as 1996. And his children and associates have appeared in Moscow over and over in search of joint ventures, meeting with developers and government officials.

During a trip in 2006, Mr. Sater and two of Mr. Trump’s children, Donald Jr. and Ivanka, stayed at the historic Hotel National Moscow across from the Kremlin, connecting with potential partners over the course of several days.

As recently as 2013, Mr. Trump himself was in Moscow. He had sold Russian real estate developers the right to host his Miss Universe pageant that year, and he used the visit as a chance to discuss development deals, writing on Twitter at the time: “TRUMP TOWER-MOSCOW is next.”

As the Russian market opened up in the post-Soviet Union era, Mr. Trump and his partners pursued Russians who were newly flush with cash to buy apartments in Trump Towers in New York and Florida, sales that he boasted about in a 2014 interview. “I know the Russians better than anybody,” Mr. Trump told Michael D’Antonio, a Trump biographer who shared unpublished interview transcripts with The New York Times.

Seeking deals in Russia became part of a broader strategy to expand the Trump brand worldwide. By the mid-2000s, Mr. Trump was transitioning to mostly licensing his name to hotel, condominium and commercial towers rather than building or investing in real estate himself. He discovered that his name was especially attractive in developing countries where the rising rich aspired to the type of ritzy glamour he personified…..

……he told the Manhattan audience that “I really prefer Moscow over all cities in the world” and that he had visited Russia a half-dozen times in 18 months.

In 2011, he was still at it. “Heading to the airport to go to Moscow for business,” he tweeted that year.

Mr. Trump himself was back in Moscow in 2013, attending the Miss Universe pageant, which he owned with NBC….

Donald Trump has long had issue with Black’s….

His come back against Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga) shows a lack of knowledge of Lewis’s district, but more so a lack of consideration in handling criticism and a maybe an innate bias against people of color that has seems evident in past statements and issues…(Obama NOT born in America?)

Donald Trump has every-right to push back against  John Lewis ‘s view of his Presidency…But the comments he gave where against Lewis classic seemed to be racist stereotyping ….

It is a shame that after 8 years of having a mixed race President…

We are looking at a while man who seems to a closet racist….

Is this a clear example of how some in America STILL cannot deal with where America IS going no matter how they try to clawback in time?
The eruption of hostilities between President-elect Donald Trump and civil rights icon Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) may be recorded as just one more example of what has become standard Twitter retaliation for Trump.

But coming on the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday weekend, it also reignited the passions around Trump’s difficult history with African Americans, the group of voters from whom he might be most alienated as he prepares to move into the White House this week.

In an interview with NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Friday, Lewis said he did not regard Trump to be “a legitimate president” because of allegations that high-level Russian operatives interfered in the election on Trump’s behalf. Trump lobbed back with a tweet in the early hours of Saturday morning that disparaged both the congressman and his district, which includes some of Atlanta’s most affluent neighborhoods.

“Congressman John Lewis should spend more time on fixing and helping his district, which is in horrible shape and falling apart,” Trump wrote. “(Not to . . .” — in fact, he needed two tweets to finish the thought — “mention crime infested) rather than falsely complaining about the election results. All talk, talk, talk — no action or results. Sad!”

Trump continued his taunts in a separate tweet Saturday evening, saying Lewis should “finally focus on the burning and crime infested inner-cities of the U.S. I can use all the help I can get!”

Trump’s attack on Lewis drew widespread condemnation across party lines, particularly given Lewis’s role in the fight for black voting rights.

“John Lewis is beyond a doubt the conscience of the country and that’s why his people [constituents] send him to Congress,” said Kwame Lillard, an activist who helped to organize the civil-rights-era Freedom Rides and has known Lewis for more than 60 years….

Donald Trump’s worst fear…..

Rep John Lewis voices it out loud…..

John Lewis: ‘I Don’t See Trump as a Legitimate President’1:22

In an exclusive interview with NBC News’ “Meet the Press,” Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) said he does not believe Donald Trump is a “legitimate president,” citing Russian interference in last year’s election.

Asked whether he would try to forge a relationship with the president-elect, Lewis said that he believes in forgiveness, but added, “it’s going to be very difficult. I don’t see this president-elect as a legitimate president.”

When pressed to explain why, he cited allegations of Russian hacks during the campaign that led to the release of internal documents from the Democratic National Committee, and Hillary Clinton’s campaign co-chairman, John Podesta.

“I think the Russians participated in helping this man get elected. And they helped destroy the candidacy of Hillary Clinton,” Lewis told NBC News’ Chuck Todd…..

The Russian’s didn’t help him?..How come Trump brought up Wikileaks 164 times right before the election?

Wikileaks was a direct prop for the Russian campaign  against Hillary Clinton’s campaign…

Trump used THAT information to knock Clinton….

Yea Donald?

President-elect Trump says that information published by Wikileaks, which the U.S. intelligence community says was hacked by Russia, had “absolutely no effect on the outcome of the election.” This was not the view of candidate Trump, who talked about Wikileaks and the content of the emails it released at least 164 times in last month of the campaign.

ThinkProgress calculated the number by reviewing transcripts of Trump’s speeches, media appearances and debates over the last 30 days of the campaign.

Trump talked extensively about Wikileaks in the final days of a campaign that was ultimately decided by just 100,000 votes in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania combined.

For months, Trump insisted that Russia was not responsible for hacks targeting Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic Party. In a December interview on Fox News, for example, Trump called intelligence linking Russia to the hacks as “ridiculous,” adding “I don’t believe it.” During the campaign Trump had suggested that the hacks could have been the work of “someone sitting on their bed that weighs 400 lbs.”….

Trump doesn’t like to do that….

But on this one….

The fitrst of what will many…..

He’s blinked…

Being President can be a humbling experience….

As a political underdog and now as president-elect, Donald J. Trump has employed the same brutal but effective go-to move when he’s tweeted or talked himself into an impasse:

Attack the attacker.

That aggressiveness served him well in the presidential campaign, and allowed him to muscle through scandals and self-inflicted management mistakes that would have scuttled a lesser politician. But Mr. Trump’s postelection effort to minimize intelligence assessments about Russia’s actions came to an abrupt end Friday after a detailed classified briefing from the nation’s top intelligence officials at Trump Tower and the release of an unclassified report concluding that the Russian president, Vladimir V. Putin, had a “clear preference” for Mr. Trump.

By the end of the day, it was clear that the strategy of intimidation and bluster that served Mr. Trump so well in the presidential campaign would not prove nearly as effective in Washington. Here was a reminder, should Mr. Trump heed it, that a president’s critics, especially the lords of Washington’s national security establishment, can’t always be cowed by a flash-grenade tweet or a withering quip about the possibility that a “400-lb. hacker” might have breached Democratic servers.

“I don’t think what worked in a campaign against Jeb Bush is really going to work when you are dealing, you know, with the combined power of the C.I.A., N.S.A. and the F.B.I.,” said John Weaver, a frequent critic of Mr. Trump who worked on Ohio Gov. John Kasich’s unsuccessful primary campaign against him.

Senator Chuck Schumer, the New York Democrat who has a good working relationship with Mr. Trump, warned him recently that it was “really dumb” to take on the intelligence services. He followed up with a warning on Wednesday that the president-elect needed “to calm down” his Twitter usage….

Donald Trump sides with Wikileaks Assange AGAINST American Intel Community…

Donald Trump’s effort in trying to find a buddy with Russian Putin has NO limit….

He is now signalling that he believes the Russians and  Wikileaks are more on the level than  the AMERICAN Intelligence community……

One can still wonder WHY is Donald Trump so hell bent on making ‘nice’ to Russian President Putin…..

WHY?

President-elect Donald Trump is freshly questioning U.S. intelligence assessments of election-season hacking, appearing to side instead with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and Russia in comments that are rattling the American spy world as well as many of his fellow Republicans.

The billionaire real estate mogul late Tuesday and early Wednesday used Twitter to once again cast doubt on intelligence community deductions that Russian government-affiliated entities tried to tip November’s election in Trump’s favor by hacking into the Democratic National Committee and the private email of Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.

in one tweet, Trump expressed suspicion about a supposed delay in an intelligence briefing he was due to receive about the suspected Russian interference.

“The ‘Intelligence’ briefing on so-called ‘Russian hacking’ was delayed until Friday, perhaps more time needed to build a case. Very strange!” Trump tweeted.

A U.S. official immediately fired back, insisting the briefing had always been set for Friday.

In a separate tweet, Trump noted that Assange has “said Russians did not give him” leaked emails from the DNC and other prominent U.S. political leaders. Trump also pointed out that Assange, who is holed up in Ecuador’s Embassy in London to avoid sex assault charges in Sweden, said “a 14 year old” could have been the hacker. It was a remarkable vote of confidence in Assange considering that Trump, according to newly uncovered material by CNN, called WikiLeaks “disgraceful” in 2010 and suggested its actions should face the “death penalty or something.”….
