Federal Judge in Hawaii halts Trump No Enter Muslim Ban 2.0 before it starts…

FEATUREDThey KNEW they where trying to do the IMPOSSIBLE with the history of Donald Trump sticking to the basic that the ban IS in FACT and Muslim ban…

In looking at the body of the judge’s ruling?

He threw tha BOOK and the KITCHEN Sink at the Trump & Co. second try….

At this rate there will be NO Ban approved….

A federal judge in Hawaii on Wednesday issued a sweeping freeze of President Trump’s new executive order hours before it would have temporarily barred the issuance of new visas to citizens of six Muslim-majority countries and suspended the admission of new refugees.

In a blistering 43-page opinion, U.S. District Judge Derrick K. Watson pointed to Trump’s own comments and those of his close advisers as evidence that his order was meant to discriminate against Muslims and declared there was a “strong likelihood of success” that those suing would prove the directive violated the Constitution.

Watson declared that “a reasonable, objective observer — enlightened by the specific historical context, contemporaneous public statements, and specific sequence of events leading to its issuance — would conclude that the Executive Order was issued with a purpose to disfavor a particular religion.”

He lambasted the government, in particular, for asserting that because the ban did not apply to all Muslims in the world, it could not be construed as discriminating against Muslims.

“The illogic of the Government’s contentions is palpable,” Watson wrote. “The notion that one can demonstrate animus toward any group of people only by targeting all of them at once is fundamentally flawed.”

At a rally in Nashville, Trump called the ruling “terrible” and asked a cheering crowd whether the ruling was “done by a judge for political reasons.” He said the administration would fight the case “as far as it needs to go,” including up to the Supreme Court, and rued that he had been persuaded to sign a “watered-down version” of his first travel ban….

  1. No surprise here as the first one was Constitutional too. They just don’t like Trump.

The appeal will make for an interesting Supreme Court confirmation hearing.

    1. Federal judge in Maryland joins the Hawaiian Judge against No Enter Ban 2.0…..

A federal judge in Maryland early Thursday temporarily blocked parts of President Trump’s revised travel order, according to multiple reports.

Hours earlier, a federal judge in Hawaii placed a nationwide block on Trump’s order, delivering a major blow to the president’s policy just hours before it was set to go into effect.

On Thursday, U.S. District Judge Theodore Chuang in Maryland said Trump’s travel ban was still meant to discriminate against Muslims. He pointed to the president’s own comments to defend the ruling, The Washington Post reported…..

Judges use Trump’s own words in ruling against revised travel ban

…. the president declared before appearing to vow to take the issue to the Supreme Court. “This is a watered-down version of the first one. … I think we should go back to the first one and go all the way which is what I wanted to do in the first place.”

“Trump’s statements tonight? He should just continue talking, because he’s making our arguments for us,” said Marielena Hincapié, executive director of the National Immigration Law Center…

        1. Here’s how fucked up some GOPer’s are…..

…After a federal judge on Wednesday ordered a hold on Trump’s revised travel ban, Huckabee urged the President to ignore the ruling, citing Andrew Jackson’s refusal to enforce an 1832 Supreme Court decision affirming the sovereignty of the Cherokee Nation. Jackson rejected the decision in Worcester v. Georgia, leading to the forcible expulsion of some 15,000 Cherokee from Georgia along the Trail of Tears. Some 4,000 died on that journey.

According to Huckabee, this is a solid historical precedent…..

          1. Trump administration files notice it will appeal ruling against second version of travel ban

The Trump administration filed court papers Friday hoping to salvage its second version of a travel ban after two judges in separate cases this week found that it probably violated the Constitution.

The Justice Department filed papers in federal court in Maryland, setting up a new legal showdown in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, located in Richmond….
