As I disagreed with Keith in calling Corey a racist
I disagree with DSD calling Keith a troll
Keith whom I know only from his posts here appears to be a passionate fellow who often gets upset with illogical thought and comments and actions which bespeak motivations based on matters other than issues(I e racism) as do I
I don’t agree with all he says
As he doesn’t always agree with me
But I’m glad he is here
And I hope he keeps on keepin on with the criticism of those whose policies and stands are inimical to our country
So the last Republican the Register endorsed was Richard Nixon eh?
Mitt sure is in good company!
Jack
Ohio was NEVER going to be a Romney state
I have proclaimed this from the jump
As I pointed out earlier
Paul Ryan will be on a bus driving around Ohio
Looking for votes
Even worst
The storm should be dumping rain on the Ohio voters just before Election Day
Since the early vote has been +20% Obama
That COULD HURT. Romney even more
I know you’re disappointed
I KNOW Corey , Daniel, Manila and CD
AREN’T gonna bite for this
But I believe his call
IS SOLID
AND
WE ALL MEANS
KNOW WHAT
THIS MEANS
RIGHT?????
Nate Silver is but One
Jedi Polling Master
But I Do agree with him
I want to see how this plays in the
Media
I don’t think Keith is a troll, either, but he gets so upset at other posters that he often behaves the way that someone would who was deliberately looking to stir up trouble.
Penn State ain’t gonna win tonight against Ohio
No score after one inning of Game 3 of the World Series in Detroit.
Ohio and Florida have been the pivot states of the last 12 years. Neither of them is a sure thing in national elections, because each party has strong bastions in both.
A few months ago, it seemed as if Florida was nearly a sure thing for Obama while Ohio was in doubt, if not slightly uphill.
The Tigers better wake UP
Florida HAS polled back and forth for a while
But over the last two weeks OBAMA’s best seems to be an ocassional tie
I called Ohio as a lock for Obama a week and a half ago
I believe
I hope Obama takes Ohio
So I won’t be disappointed at all
But no
it isn’t locked up yet
And the storm will be long gone by Election Day
Sending Ryan to Ohio?
Recognizing that Ohio is the pivotal state why wouldn’t one concentrate their energy there?
What you refer to as desperation or what not is simply what campaigns do in the closing days of a closely contested election
Oh, I agree sending Ryan to Ohio IS the right thing to do
Romney was there during the week
Look for him to return
Obama will probably drop in also
And ole Joe Biden
I’d think Obama and Biden will go to Florida also
But a failure to go to NC means they aren’t wasting the
Jet fuel and you’re right on NC
I KNOW YOU won’t
I was just bustin on you
Corey was actually pretty low key tonight
The numbers do NOT look good for Romney
He’s still got a slim chance
But if Silver IS right
Romney One
Should be booking for
OTHER PLACES
Florida starts early absent tee balloting
There’s more Dem’s registered than GOPer’s
About a half million
But that figure is down
There has been about 1.2 mil ballots mailed in
And that SHOULD FAVOR Romney
In a turn around from Ohio
OBSMA campaign workers will try get their edge on
Election Day
I justv looked at the RCP map……
He, he, he….
They have ALL the Obama Swinbg states as Toss-Up’s????
He, he, he
I am passionate about politics, especially this election, and I am sensitive to folks that use race to hyper-critical of the President – especially people like Corey. But, I will apologize to DSD if he thinks I tend to pick fights. My only defense, I get aggressive with people who are either illogical in their comments (folks that cannot back up their statements with facts), people like Daniel or CD, or someone who lowers themselves to support overt racism. So, most of my ire is focused on people like Corey, who, in my opinion, are motivated by winning the “electoral contest” as opposed to the issues that drive an election. He clearly wants to win at any cost, and this time that means dipping into an anti-black bag of rhetorical tricks. Or, dog-whistle politics.
Corey, and his friends Daniel, CD, and Manila have chosen to support a candidate that has utilized racism to rally the base in their effort to win this election. It is obvious with every statement that John Sununu or Donald Trump make — they call press conferences and refer to the President lazy (why not add shiftless) and un-American. They demand he release his college transcripts and birth certificate, yet their candidate won’t even release his tax returns. This ugly racism has the centerpiece of the Romney campaign and he has refused to disown anything these people say.
Now a group of millionaires have provided the money to mail millions of copies of a scurrilous DVD to Ohio voters claiming the President’s father was actually a black Communist who schooled young Barack in the ways of Socialism. All of this with the tangential support of the Romney campaign.
My mother used to say “you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas” – Corey has supported Romney since he “endorsed” him over four years ago. He cannot escape the stink of this campaign and the racism that it is built upon. This is a question of character, and Romney is an expedient venture capitalist who will say or do anything to be President.
Oh, the Miami Herald has endorsed the President, pretty good get — and the Post has Obama at 51% in Virginia. Slip, slip, slippin away!
Saturday Night Live is doing a great Obama routine. “Sasha, Malia, go to bed. I do that to remind you that I have two adorable daughters, and not five creepy sons.”
Keith ….
I join you in putting my back into it…..
I also agree with the view that SOME in the GOP have resorted to race in order to entice voters into their camp…
It is discussing to see the stuff that has come up this time around….
One would have hoped that some GOPer’s would NOT stand for the getting down and dirty in the last month of this….
But then today’s GOP is NOT yesterday’s…
What a pity….
One can only wonder how some of the rightwingnuts are gonna move into the 21st Century from Whatever Universe they’re living in…
Or maybe they won’t?

Giants beat Tigers 2-0 for 3-0 World Series lead
By RONALD BLUM
DETROIT (AP) — Ryan Vogelsong escaped trouble three times and Gregor Blanco hit a go-ahead triple to lead San Francisco over the Detroit Tigers 2-0 on Saturday night and move the Giants into a 3-0 World Series lead.
One win from their second title in three seasons, the Giants became the first team to pitch consecutive shutouts in the Series since Baltimore’s staff ended 1966 with three straight against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Vogelsong became only the third pitcher to make four straight starts in a single postseason in which he allowed no more than one run, giving up five hits in 5 2-3 innings with four walks and three strikeouts. He induced double-play grounders to escape trouble in the first and third innings, then got Triple Crown winner Miguel Cabrera to pop out with the bases loaded and two outs in the sixth.
Matt Cain, coming off a Game 7 win over St. Louis in the NL championship series, starts for San Francisco in Game 4 on Sunday night. Max Scherzer starts for Detroit, his first appearance since completing the Tigers’ ALCS sweep of the Yankees.
Blanco hit a run-scoring triple off the wall in right-center field in the second inning against Anibal Sanchez and scored on Brandon Crawford’s single.
Pedro Sandoval, who tied the Series record with three home runs in the opener, had two more hits and is hitting .636 (7 for 11).
Blanked in consecutive games for the first time since April 2008, Detroit was 0 for 4 with runners in scoring position on the night and is 1 for 11 in the Series. The Tigers have lost six straight Series games dating to 2006, and no team has ever rebounded from an 0-3 Series deficit to win the title….
