Red State goes after the Banks…..

Well…Well

Erick Erickson wants to BREAK UP the Banks?

Who’d EVERY think Erickson and Mike Taibbi would have something in Common???

Break Up The Banks

Posted by Erick Erickson (Diary) @ Red State

I hope the Romney campaign seriously takes on this idea.

We have created a financial situation in this country, with Dodd-Frank and other policies, that have stacked the banks against the American people. They have become so massive that they can do pretty much what they want because they can hire all the lobbyists they need to get what they want from Washington and if they falter or fail, the nation goes belly up.

It is absolutely a conservative imperative to break up the big banks. Conservatism should eschew public-private partnership at this level.

The banks have, in effect, become an extension of the government in that they now exist in a wholly symbiotic and unhealthy relationship with Washington.

If we want smaller government, we need smaller banks too.

  1. Erickson is going to catch a lot of flack from so called “conservatives” on this call

Which I agree with I might add

Next to Wall Street and multi millionaires

Banks round out the trilogy of sacred objects that keep a Right Ingers heart beating

Why when the banks announce their CEOs bonus I bet there is actually a moment of silence for these

    “Jobs Creators”

    Me?

Banks and bankers are on the same moral level as Mexican drug lords

  2. Ditto Jack…..

  3. Wut? PRO regulation of free enterprise? Must be an echo of Sandy Weill of Citigroup.
