Romney and staff member defend Romneycare….

Ouch….

From the jump the rightwingnuts in the GOP have wanted to take the Affordable Healthcare LAW COMPLETELY APART…

It was their way of refuting President Obama for building BIG Government they claimed…

Of course that was before they got a nominee that put in place his OWN state’s Healthcare program….

Mitt Romney went along with the Conservatives and preached that he wanted to dismantle the ‘President’s’ Healthcare plan…

But along the way a couple of things happen….

First of all …..Polling started to show that American’s didn’t like the mandate….

BUT…

Pretty much  DID like EVERYTHING else in the program….

Second……

The Supreme’s came out FOR the Law ….

Mandate and just about all….

(they ruled for the states choice in Medicaid….but the states are gonna end up taking the Federal money anyway)

Third…..

Mitt Romney has found himself pushed into a place he REALLY didn’t want to be…

AGAINST Healthcare….

The man passed a program that is IN FORCE in Massachusetts

WTF would he fight something HE did that is good?

Especially when an opportunity like now presents itself that Romney’s State program would actually HELP a blue collar person’s family?

So……

Today Mitt Romney CHANGED HIS MIND AGAIN……

and has supported* a staff member  in defending HIS states program….

And THAT has put him at odds with his OWN party…..

Spokesperson Cites Romneycare

Romney spokesperson Andrea Saul “offered an unusual counterattack to an ad in which a laid-off steelworker blames the presumptive GOP nominee for his family losing health care: If that family had lived in Massachusetts, it would have been covered by the former governor’s universal health care law,” Politico reports.

Said Saul: “To that point, if people had been in Massachusetts, under Governor Romney’s health care plan, they would have had health care.”

Sarah Kliff: “That’s how things would have worked..under Romneycare. And its how things will work, for the rest of the country in two years from now — if Obamacare does not get repealed.”

Erick Erickson says conservatives have gotten the message: “Consider the scab picked, the wound opened, and the distrust trickling out again.”
