Election*Projection update for May 28, 2012….

from the The Blogging Caesar…..

The latest numbers are posted.  There’s not much movement in the Electoral vote race.  The EV count remains unchanged with only a slight adjustment in the popular vote projection.  We also see no movement in the governor projections with Scott Walker continuing to look good in his attempt to defeat a recall election in Wisconsin.

There has been movement in the latest Senate election and House election projections.  First, in the Senate, a NBC News/Marist poll testing Virginia gives Democrat Tim Kaine a 6-point lead over Republican George Allen.  That’s enough to bring Old Dominion back into the Senate Democrats’ column and give the projected Senate majority to the Democrats.

In the House, a Rasmussen polls gives the generic congressional Republican a 3-point advantage over his Democratic counterpart.  While that is a good number for the GOP, it replaces a better number.  So the net result is a fractional decrease in the composite congressional generic number and a loss of two seats for the red team.  Arizona CD-2 is now projected to stay blue, and Illinois CD-11 has moved into the Democratic takeover category……
