Michigan Governor: Snyder is going to win the Michigan governorship very BIG around 57-59 percent and the question is whether his likely landslide victory will be enough for Republicans to sweep down-ballot races including controlling both houses of the legislature, in which REDISTRICTING is playing a major factor.
Nebraska Governor: Heineman has this one locked up because no Democrat has won the governorship since 1994 and it will likely continue to keep the governor’s mansion in GOP hands for the forseeable future, so he’s on track to serve 10 years as governor by 2014 unless he runs for the Senate in 2012.
Georgia Senate: Isakson will win here with 55 percent, but Thurmond’s presence on the ballot is likely to boost African American turnout impacting the governor’s race between Deal and Barnes.
